Concentric Professional Services
Since I started working part time at Concentric I noticed their website to draw in customers was very bland. It seemed like it was only drawing in those who wanted basic HTML edits with no respect for technology or art. So I threw together a mockup in my spare time and it was made into a full scale project at work. I spent about three months developing the site into MODx using the Grid960 framework. I had a great time making this unique website to help bring my team in more customers and at the same time exercising my skills in design.

1st Thursdays iPhone App
Every first thursday of the month downtown Bay City lights up with art galleries, music, places to shop/eat, and new places to explore. I came up with an idea for an iPhone app that could show users where the fun is at based on their interest/location downtown. It even has a social section that allows you to talk to the people around you on the streets. This app is still in development but the website will be up shortly to accept Beta access.

Conkrete Works
A friend and I decided to create a website for a photoshop guru who makes awesome posters for gigs in Flint, Michigan. I came up with this mockup that really hits the nail on the head. It's currently coded but awaiting the final touches in the administration part of the custom CMS.

Conkrete Works
I created this at work for a client who provides landscaping services. They weren't too happy with the design and said it was too much. I made them a really simple design in the end which they loved, but I still wanted to keep this gem around. It's available as a template at cts.com.

Sweet Creations
I was approached by a woman who wanted to redesign her existing website that she used to display her baked goods. A website for a bakery is certainly a new realm for me and I thought it would be a great place to extend my skills. The project is currently on hold but I can't wait to finish this great project. I'm so used to doing boring corporate work or dark websites so this was a surprisingly fun change of pace.

Brewtopia Coffee
A local coffee house recently went under new ownership under the name of "Brewtopia" offering some of the freshest drinks I've ever tried. They were in need of a website so I stepped forward and did it for them, for free! The owner, Aaron Bolt, is a great guy and the other employees are no different. It was an awesome website to work on with Benjamin Skripnik and Lance Hill. Props to Shawn at 989 Design for creating the logo for the company. I created much of the PHP for the contact form and the mailing list to stretch my legs with code. The project took about three weeks to complete after many revisions.

MoonLight Computers
I've three days nearly full time working on all the graphics and layout on this and am quite satisfied on how it turned out. I decided to finish this site before letting it fall out of my list of projects and to play with the use of icons which were taken from OS X Leopard and a few other sources online I will list soon. The DVD cases were from a .PSD I found on DeviantArt and I made the covers using a rocket and moon picture then scaled, distorted, and inserted them into the DVD case to look as if it were real. I was really happy to be able to find all these bits and pieces scattered through the interent and tie them into a design and theme all the software together. Read some of the content, it's great. Does not work so well in IE

Wooden Myspace
Lately I've been trying to go against the grain and code against someones elses format. Myspace.com is filled with tables and random classes that make styling using CSS a bit of a mystery, especially when it comes to finding where to put the style sheet! I played around using FireBug and had some help from Jeff Finley's code. It's a basic design but quite effective compared to the other layouts you see on Myspace.

Great Lakes Web Developers
I spent about two weeks straight on this website last summer (2007). The group was talking about making a new
website design compared to their old (and still current) design at glwp.org.
I learned tons of stuff from making this. I used Scriptalicious on each of the buttons; from the Sign Up
button, the Topics button, and each of the persons Biography in the Meet The Board section. It was also
a great chance getting my feet wet with PHP and forms, having so many different types of memberships
meaning plenty of options that needed to be distinguished and mailed out specifically. All and all I loved
the way this turned out, but the design was rejected! Ouch!

Panther Sweat Redesign
My addiction for textured backgrounds hit a new level working on this master-piece. There are three textures taken from textureking.com mixed with text along side a couple pictures I took myself. The navigation was placed at the bottom to mix things up a bit. I spent about 3 days working on getting everything balanced from colors to shadows. I learned quite a bit from this piece.

The Natalie Fight
As luck would have it, I put a days work into this site working on fading corners with repeating patterns
along with overlaying PNG's then the band breaks up a week later. Shown here are the multiple pages of the
bands site I was working on, complete with ordering information for CD purchases and a section for fliers
to be added whenever a new show was announced.
